Breaking Barriers – Superstars of Jaipur Blind School
Blind students often face significant challenges in accessing quality education and employment opportunities. At Literacy India, we aim to break these barriers by providing specialized training programs that equip them with essential job-ready skills.
Meet the superstars from our Jaipur Blind School! Twelve dedicated students dove headfirst into a world of computer training, mastering everything from basic skills to advanced Excel, MIS reports, and customer service. They became conversation wizards in our Call Centre Readiness Program, perfecting small talk, impromptu speeches in Hindi, and even the art of handling tricky customer service scenarios.
Role-plays, discussions, and exercises turned them into confident communicators, ready to take on the world. This foundational training is their first step towards financial independence and self-confidence.

The Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector offers numerous opportunities for young individuals to build careers and support their families. Literacy India’s Call Centre Readiness Program is designed to help underprivileged youth acquire the necessary skills & educational transformation programs to excel in this competitive field.
Ritik Roshan, a powerhouse of determination from Bihar, moved to Delhi with big dreams. Juggling financial constraints and his BA studies, he supported his family while joining our Call Centre Readiness Program. His dedication paid off with a job as a BPO telecaller at Vidhansh Savya, earning INR 12,500 per month. Ritik’s journey from struggle to success is a testament to his resilience and ambition, with dreams of a stable government job.
Preeti Kumari, a shining star from Bihar, faced financial challenges head-on. After completing her 12th grade, she pursued Political Science at Delhi University. Realizing the competitive job market, Preeti joined our center to master Excel skills. Her perseverance landed her a telesales executive position at Home Credit in Gurugram, earning INR 14,000 per month. Aspiring to become a teacher, Preeti continues to work towards her dream, all while easing her family’s financial burden.

On World Paper Bag Day, 1,227 students crafted and distributed 46,626 recyclable newspaper bags to 307 street vendors and shops, promoting recycling and community service. It was a day of innovation, sustainability, and fun!

Our 26 centers buzzed with creativity as 970 students designed emojis, expressing complex emotions with simple drawings.

The Grassroot Business Incubation Program (GBIP) was a spellbinding experience for our students in grades 8 to 10. From needs assessment to market research, and fun challenges like Game Design, Treasure Hunt, and Jingle Jam, our young entrepreneurs learned the ropes of business. Thanks to our partners at Skilleit and the fantastic trainers, these kids are ready to conquer the entrepreneurial world!
