Project Aarogyam, while not a core initiative of Literacy India, plays an essential role in addressing the health needs of the communities surrounding our centers. Through this project, Literacy India organizes health camps and provides critical support, often aiding individuals with life-threatening conditions.

Scope of the Project
  • Project Aarogyam offers direct support to beneficiaries, enabling them to access:
  • Medical treatment
  • Referral services
  • Health camps
  • Regular check-ups, including eye and dental exams
  • The project also promotes health awareness and encourages health-seeking behavior through campaigns focused on preventive care. By bringing OPD services directly to the communities, the project ensures early diagnosis and treatment, addressing both curative and preventive aspects.

  • Children
  • Adolescents
  • Youth
  • Adult women and men
  • Artisans
  • Senior citizens
  • Literacy India staff
  • In 2023-2024, Literacy India partnered with healthcare organizations like SGT Hospital, Indian Cancer Society, and Manav Jyot Trust to address community health needs. Key achievements include:
  • Successful referrals for pre-breast cancer care and cataract surgery.
  • Major surgery support and early diagnosis of serious conditions through innovative solutions like the Health ATM at Bajghera Campus.
  • General and specialized health check-ups across various locations, benefiting over 4,000 individuals.
  • These efforts have strengthened community bonds and fostered collaborations, transforming our centres into health help hubs while maintaining a focus on preventive and curative care.
