Suman Disciplined and determined to become a doctor

Her father left his village to provide a better future to his children, her mother dreams of her becoming a doctor one day. Meet Suman, a student of class 9 under Vidyapeeth, a core program at Literacy India, aiming at providing quality and affordable education to kids belonging to economically weaker section. She joined Vidyapeeth in 2013 as a shy, eight year old at an upper-kindergarten level. Through her sheer dedication, focus and support from her family andteachers, she has become a confident girl, now in high school, who loves mathematics and science. Apart from studies, she spends her time by conducting science experiments,playing badminton or conducting her duties as a member of the discipline committee of the school.  Her dream is to fulfill her mother’s dream and open a charity hospital in her native state of Bihar..
