Volunteers and well-wishers

Changing the world through volunteerism

Volunteers have been an integral part of Literacy India’s journey since 1996. We encourage people to become a part of our initiatives and engage in capacity building of the underprivileged sections of the society.

LI Volunteers educate and mentor children, youth and women from the community across the country. It improves the future prospects of our beneficiaries which in turn contributes to the prosperity of our country. The takeaway for the volunteers is a rich learning experience that helps them gain perspective as tomorrow’s leaders.

Several corporate entities, individual volunteers & NGOs in working in the medical field and financial literacy, as well as top corporate leaders have volunteered their time to mentor students to improve their academic level, hosted technology sessions, and participated in financial literacy workshops, green environment projects and rain water harvesting pit construction and so on. Institutes such as Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Fortune Institute of Business Studies have tied up with us and placed their students as volunteers for 15 days to 45 days to gather work experience in the social development sphere. Students of Finance, Marketing & Management background have contributed richly, creating documents for marketing, project impact stories, and participated in event management and fund-raising drives. Students experience a new world by visiting communities, interacting with students, community stakeholders and making creative content for Literacy India projects.
