As we reflect on the year’s journey, we celebrate the vibrancy, creativity, and diversity of our students. The experiential learning they experienced during their visit to the organic farm wasn’t just about farming—it was about cultivating a mindset that cares for the environment, nurtures creativity, and lays the foundation for meaningful growth.
Join us as we reflect on the inspiration and lessons that have shaped the closing chapter of this year!
What if one simple act of planting a seed could nurture the Earth and inspire a generation?
This year, students of Vidyapeeth (School Project -Literacy India) took their learning beyond the classroom during a visit to a local organic farm. Guided by Kanhailal, expert Farmer from Jhalawar Centre together they explored sustainable farming practices, learning to:
Measure soil health with pH machines.
Create chemical-free manure, such as Jiva Tatva, and natural insect-repellent sprays using neem and sitaphal leaves.
Develop waste decomposers with jaggery and water.
Returning to school, these young environmentalists shared their newfound knowledge, teaching peers about composting and organic farming. They also distributed eco-friendly compost, embodying the spirit of sustainability
A student reflected: “If we plant more trees and use chemical-free manure, the Earth will be greener. We must raise awareness among farmers to adopt these practices.”
Volunteer Reflections
“It was incredible to see how simple practices like creating organic manure can have such a profound impact on agriculture and sustainability. Being part of this initiative was truly rewarding.“
